Nyama choma

Ever had roasted goat meat? Mbuzi, as it’s called in Kiswahili, is actually surprisingly tasty. At the weekend we went to a local bar/restaurant with some people from work. To one side of the bar was a large barbecue serving up Kenya’s national dish, nyama choma, or ‘roasted meat’. You buy it raw by the kilo and they roast it for you. They then serve it on a large plate together with ugali (maize porridge) and mabuki (pea, maize and potato mash) and you eat with your hands. Mmmm!
