Frozen Swedes

Yesterday, Silverfisken, you know, the Swedish guy living in Sidney, complained about being cold. Apparently, temperatures have plummeted to 12.8 degrees and he was trying to explain what it is like in the winter in countries where they haven’t realised that things like double glazing, insulation and radiators exist.

Comment after comment were added by cold Swedes living abroad – South Africa, Australia, Britain, New Zealand, Peru, and Japan. I obviously added my penny’s worth.

My favourite, from ‘EFF’:

‘Either you build up a global military empire, or you employ a few thousand civil servants to draw up decent building regulations. That’s how it is. The choice is yours. The investment cost is the same.’
