The olympics in Britain

I was watching the olympics while having breakfast this morning.

A Brit with a Nigerian-sounding name had won gold in, I think the 400 metres, and the repeat was being shown on telly. As she overtook her competitors over the last 20 or so metres, the commentator was going crazy with happiness:

‘What a journey it’s been! After everything she’s faced! How good she must feel! After being banned for a year for missing three drugs tests, she’s managed to win a gold in her comeback…’

Eh?
