User testing by disabled people – no wonder it’s not done

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, PAS 78 and the soon to be published British Standard on accessibility all propagate disabily user testing for better, more accessible websites.

I just had a meeting with a consultancy organisation to get some arranged. But I soon realised why it’s so rarely done in web projects.

The price tag: £12,000 – almost half the value of the site.
